Utah Educational Savings Plan
Utah Educational Savings Plan is Utah’s official 529 educational savings plan. This saving plan has been helping families across the United States to invest in higher education for over 20 years. My529 funds can be used for qualified higher education expenditures, which also include the K-12 tuition expenses, qualified education loan repayments, and registered apprenticeships.
Account earnings amass tax-deferred. Since you don’t pay the annual taxes on account earnings, your balance can be able to grow faster. When you withdraw your money for the qualified higher education expenses or the K-12 tuition expenses, you are not taxed on the gains linked with the withdrawal.
Withdrawals are exempted from federal and state income tax if the funds are used to make payment for qualified higher education expenses; this includes K-12 tuition expenses.
