Before downloading the Android 12 beta, you will have to install the android emulator. It is a great solution for you when you want testing your android behavior changes. The emulator is fast and convenient and will enable you emulate various screen sites and device characteristics.

Below are ways to set up an emulator from your android studio;

  • Firstly, install the latest Preview buildof Android Studio.
  • In Android Studio, click Tools you will see the SDK Manager.
  • In the SDK Tools tab, select the latest version of Android Emulator, and click OK. This action installs the latest version if it isn’t already installed.
  • In Android Studio, click Tools > AVD Manager, and follow the instructions to create a new Android Virtual Device (AVD).
  • Ensure you select a Pixel 3, 3a, 4, 4a, or 5 device definitions and a 64-bit Android 12 emulator system image. Please note that 32-bit Android emulator system images are not supported in Android 12.
  • If you do not have an Android 12 system image installed that matches your own device definition, click on download next to the Release Name to get it.

Return to the list of virtual devices in the AVD Manager, and then double-click your Android 12 virtual device to launch it.

How Do I Opt Into Android Beta
